🚧 Upcoming Road Closure - Electricity Cable Installation (May 2026) 🚧

Hi all,

We’ve been notified by National Grid that cable installation works will take place in our area from Monday 11th May to Friday 22nd May 2026, with working hours between 08:00 and 18:00 (weekdays only). These works are required to provide a new electricity supply to the Abora Carehome development. The committee has been consulted on the plans and has worked with National Grid to help minimise disruption to residents.

🚧 What to expect:

• A temporary road closure (weekdays only) will be in place between 11th and 20th May.

• Residents are asked to use the alternative entrance to the estate during this period.

• Driveway access to residents home will be maintained.

• There will be excavation works on the road and footpath, along with workers, vehicles, and safety barriers in the area.

• Some noise and disruption is expected, although efforts will be made to keep this to a minimum.

• The new road recently laid on St John's will be protected.

• No interruption to your electricity supply is expected during these works.
